As I pondered the direction to take Adulting with Care (AwC), I was working to set up a blog to reach the most people. However, it felt inauthentic to separate out core parts of who I am. I am a Christian - a Christ follower - a daughter of the King- and it is central to who I am, how I have navigated Adulting, and how I have any hope for the future. What even is adulting? The art of being an adult. Does it magically transform a human being the evening before their 18th birthday? So they wake up with wisdom and understanding? I woke up at 18 and felt no different. Maybe 21? 25? Surely by 30? Not even by 30. Maybe being an adult isn't an instant switch, but a slow progression- the art of becoming older.
